Joyce Scrimshire

Joyce T. Scrimshire, 93, of Malvern went to be with The Lord Sunday, February 1, 2015. Joyce was born on September 2, 1921 in Malvern to Ola (Smith) and Arrice Teague Sr. Joyce loved going to church and was a big part of the Women’s Bible Study at 1^st Baptist Church in Malvern.  She was a Senior companion for Area Agency on Aging and has won 2 Presidential Awards for her volunteerism.  Joyce retired in 1986 from UAMS. She loved card games and Bingo. She also loved her “fur grandkids”, Cricket, Cami, and the girls.

Joyce is predeceased by her husband, Orvel Scrimshire and one brother, Arrice “Buddy” Teague Jr.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Jean Green of Little Rock; brother, Joe (Donna) Teague of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Regina K. Green of Little Rock and C. Duane Green of Little Rock; and a big extended family including many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:00 PM with  a celebration of her life immediately following on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Atkinson Chapel with Bill Scrimshire officiating. Burial will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
